1. DEFINITIONS

In these Terms and Conditions:

“Event” means the Workplace Law Talks conference organized by North Wall Media

“North Wall Media” or “Organizer” means North Wall Media/1001191701 Ontario Inc., the entity organizing Workplace Law Talks.

“Participant” or “Attendee” means any individual registered to attend the Event

“Sponsor” means any person or entity that has entered into a sponsorship agreement with North Wall Media

“Venue” means the physical location where the Event is held

“Terms” means these Terms and Conditions

2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By registering for, attending, or participating in the Event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not register for or attend the Event.

3. REGISTRATION AND FEES

3.1 Registration Requirements

Registration must be completed through the official Event website or authorized registration channels. All registration information must be accurate and complete. North Wall Media reserves the right to verify registration information.

3.2 Payment Terms

Registration fees must be paid in full at the time of registration unless otherwise specified. All fees are quoted in Canadian dollars (CAD). Payment methods accepted will be specified during registration. North Wall Media reserves the right to refuse registration for non-payment.

3.3 Registration Confirmation

A registration confirmation will be provided upon successful payment. Registration confirmations serve as proof of registration and should be retained.

4. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

4.1 Participant Cancellations

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to North Wall Media. Refund eligibility and amounts depend on the timing of cancellation:

More than 30 days before Event: 90% refund (10% administrative fee)
15-30 days before Event: 50% refund
Less than 15 days before Event: No refund

Name substitutions may be permitted until 7 days before the Event.

4.2 Event Cancellation by Organizer

North Wall Media reserves the right to cancel the Event due to circumstances beyond reasonable control. In case of cancellation, participants will receive a full refund of registration fees. North Wall Media is not liable for any additional costs incurred by participants.

5. PARTICIPANT CONDUCT

5.1 Code of Conduct

Participants agree to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner, comply with all applicable laws and regulations, follow all Event rules and venue policies, and respect the rights and safety of other participants.

5.2 Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited: harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct; disruptive behavior that interferes with the Event; unauthorized recording, photography, or distribution of Event content; and solicitation or promotional activities unless explicitly authorized.

5.3 Enforcement

North Wall Media reserves the right to remove any participant who violates these terms. No refund will be provided for removal due to misconduct. Local law enforcement may be contacted if necessary.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

6.1 Event Content

All Event materials, presentations, and content remain the property of North Wall Media or respective speakers. Participants may not reproduce, distribute, or commercialize Event content without written permission. Recording or photography of sessions is prohibited unless explicitly authorized.

6.2 Participant Content

By attending, participants may appear in photographs or recordings of the Event. Participants grant North Wall Media permission to use their likeness for promotional purposes.

7. LIABILITY AND INSURANCE

7.1 Limitation of Liability

North Wall Media’s liability is limited to the registration fees paid by the participant. North Wall Media is not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages. Participants attend the Event at their own risk.

7.2 Personal Property

North Wall Media is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property. Participants are advised to secure their belongings at all times.

7.3 Health and Safety

Participants are responsible for their own health and safety. Any health conditions that may affect participation should be disclosed. North Wall Media may require proof of insurance or health clearances.

8. FORCE MAJEURE

North Wall Media is not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or public health emergencies; government restrictions or regulations; venue unavailability; and transportation disruptions.

9. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION

9.1 Information Collection

Personal information collected during registration will be used solely for Event purposes. Information may be shared with sponsors and partners for Event-related communications. Participants may opt out of promotional communications.

9.2 Data Security

North Wall Media implements reasonable security measures to protect personal information. Data retention policies comply with applicable privacy laws.

10. SPONSORSHIP PROVISIONS

10.1 Sponsor Recognition

Sponsors will receive recognition as specified in their sponsorship agreements. North Wall Media reserves the right to approve all sponsor materials and activities.

10.2 Sponsor Obligations

Sponsors must comply with all Event terms and applicable laws. Sponsor materials must be appropriate for a professional audience. Sponsors are responsible for their own insurance coverage.

10.3 Sponsor Cancellation and Payment Policy

Sponsorship fees are payable in advance and in full upon execution of the sponsorship agreement. Sponsors may not cancel their sponsorship for any reason once the agreement is executed, and no refunds will be provided for sponsor-initiated cancellations. In the event that North Wall Media cancels or does not proceed with the Event for any reason, sponsors will receive a refund of 90% of their sponsorship fees. The retained 10% covers administrative costs and recognizes the marketing and promotional benefit provided to the sponsor through pre-event awareness activities.

11. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS

11.1 Consumer Protection

These Terms comply with the Ontario Consumer Protection Act and related regulations. Participants have rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.

11.2 Accessibility

North Wall Media strives to ensure the Event is accessible to all participants. Accommodation requests should be made during registration.

11.3 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in Ontario courts.

12. GENERAL PROVISIONS

12.1 Amendments

North Wall Media reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered participants. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of amended terms.

12.2 Severability

If any provision is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Invalid provisions will be replaced with valid provisions achieving similar intent.

12.3 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between participants and North Wall Media. Any modifications must be in writing and agreed to by both parties.

12.4 Communication

Official communications will be sent to the email address provided during registration. Participants are responsible for maintaining current contact information.
